April Showers

These past several months, I have said countless times that I could not wait for the warmer weather. I absolutely love the summer, and the warm weather. I love be outside, I love going to the beach, and I love that summer typically means that I have a lot of time to myself. However, I am especially excited about this summer, because it means that I will be done with school and I will hopefully have a plan for the rest of my life.

Though I have been praying for the days to move faster and for graduation and the summer, I cannot believe that we are almost here! The weather is beginning to change, Mike and I have signed a lease on an apartment and are putting together a plan for the move, and I DEFEND ON FRIDAY!!!!! Yes, I am going to be defending my dissertation on Friday, then it is just making revisions and submitting to the library, and I AM DONE!!

This is all such a surreal experience. It all feels so surreal, but I am very excited to be Dr. Caroline!

So as I sit inside working on putting together presentations, while I watch the rain fall, instead of being disappointed that it is raining, I am glad that it is raining. Rain means that it is spring, and that means that I am almost done! YAY!
